Santa Lucia Delle Fonti Home

About this coliving home
Nestled in the wild beauty of the Apennines, this is our family home and a welcoming retreat for travelers, creatives, and remote workers alike. My husband and I are experienced hosts originally from London, where we managed several coliving properties before deciding to start a new chapter in Italy. After the pandemic, the arrival of our child, and our move here, we lovingly restored a 1950s hostel to passive house standards — meaning no need for radiators anymore! Our space now serves as a hub for events, workshops, and gatherings focused on sustainability and ecological living. We offer six freshly renovated, comfortable, and spacious rooms, each with stunning views over the National Park that surrounds us on all sides. As winter arrives, the wood stove crackles, the air is crisp, and with a ski resort just down the road, it’s the perfect place to unwind, connect, and enjoy the season.

Amenities
Community fit
In a world that often feels uncertain, we’re building something different — a fun, inclusive community where creativity and sustainability come together. Our mission is to explore and promote a circular economy–inspired lifestyle that’s mindful, collaborative, and full of life. We’re a young family passionate about conscious living. My husband is an architect, and I’m an entrepreneur running both a business and English consultancy, as well as our co-living and events space. We love staying active — practicing yoga, box fit, and judo at home (feel free to join!) — and enjoy dancing and swimming throughout the week. Our two children, ages 3 and 5, bring energy and laughter to the house — they’re curious, spirited, and part of what makes our community so vibrant. We love hosting and have built lasting friendships with our co-livers, who truly become part of our extended family. Our home is especially suited to students and remote professionals, whether solo or couples, who value connection, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging. With plenty of communal space and shared meals, it’s easy to find both inspiration and companionship here.

Neighborhood
Our house is ideally located for hiking, mountain biking, motor biking, star gazing, horse riding and snow shoe walks, cross country skiing, sledging. We're in the best place to collect sweet chestnuts and blackberries, and to hunt for truffles and porcini mushrooms. Nestled in the heart of the Apennines, our home is just a 10-minute walk from the charming village of Cervarezza Terme, where you’ll find everything you need for daily life — a grocery store, vegetable market, pharmacy, church, town hall, a weekly street market, and two local restaurants serving traditional cuisine. A 15-minute drive or bus ride takes you to Castelnovo ne’ Monti, a lively town with larger supermarkets, clothing and shoe stores, a great second-hand shop for sustainable shopping, a hospital, and all the conveniences of modern life. The nearest city, Reggio Emilia, offers train connections and every urban amenity you might need. Right next to us, you’ll find an astronomical observatory, the Cerwood Adventure Park, and the Cervarezza Thermal Spa — perfect for wellness and exploration. Nearby, you can also enjoy some of Italy’s best mountain climbing at Pietra di Bismantova, winter sports at Cerreto Laghi Ski Resort, or horseback riding at Balla coi Lupi. Come stay with us if you’d like to slow down, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and experience a peaceful rhythm of life surrounded by nature. Whether you’re watching snow fall softly outside or hiking through the forest trails, this is a place to reconnect — with yourself, with others, and with the wild beauty around you.
