Will I have privacy?
Yes. Each resident has their own fully furnished private studio, with a personal bathroom and a kitchenette. You live independently, while also enjoying shared common areas (kitchen, living room, coworking space, garden or terrace). Compose is designed to balance comfort, intimacy, and social connection.
Are pets allowed?
We love animals but unfortunately, we cannot accept pets in our residences. This helps maintain harmony among residents and ensures cleanliness and comfort in shared spaces.
Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?
While our residences are primarily designed for solo living to maintain a balanced community vibe, we do sometimes accommodate couples. However, please note that the lease must be in one name. We encourage you to reach out for more details!
Is there a designated space for work?
Yes. Most residences include shared coworking areas where you can work comfortably. Additionally, our guest room can also be used for remote work.
What types of people will I be sharing the home with?
You’ll share the residence with other students and professionals. Our residents are diverse in age and background but all share a desire to live independently, comfortably, and connect with others when they choose to. The average age is around 30 years old.
What criteria do you use to evaluate potential renters?
We carefully consider a few factors when evaluating potential renters. We look at your ability to pay rent, your current life situation, and most importantly, your willingness to live in a respectful, shared environment. We believe that a positive community vibe is essential for everyone!
Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?
In some cases, early move-ins or late check-outs may be possible depending on availability. Please reach out to your referent in advance — we’ll do our best to accommodate you !
Can I extend or shorten my stay?
Yes. Compose offers flexible durations. If you’d like to extend or shorten your stay, just let your local team know in advance. We’ll adjust your lease accordingly, based on availability.
Is there a Credit Score required?
No formal credit score is required. We evaluate your financial stability and your personal situation to make a decision, case by case.
When/how will you refund my security deposit?
We want to ensure a smooth experience for you! Your security deposit will be refunded within one month after your departure, as long as everything is in good condition and the room is clean. The refund will be processed via bank transfer. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
What is the policy on alcohol?
Moderate alcohol consumption is allowed in both private and shared areas, as long as it respects the peace and comfort of others. We expect residents to behave responsibly and maintain a friendly, respectful environment. Any abusive or disruptive behavior may result in sanctions.
What potential costs are there besides the rent?
The rent includes utilities, services, and access to shared spaces. Additional costs may include a security deposit, application fees, or optional services (e.g. extra cleaning or linen replacement). Everything is clearly outlined before you move in.
