Neighborhood
Our home is in Barra da Lagoa, a cozy fishing village on the island’s eastern shore that’s perfectly positioned between two incredible beaches. Right out front, you’ll find mellow, beginner-friendly waves and a lively scene with surf schools, hostels, and fellow nomads. A short walk or Uber ride brings you to wilder beaches and scenic trails with unforgettable views. Get ready to savor delicious seafood, meet welcoming locals, and ease into island life. Floripa is one of the best places to learn how to surf, with gentle waves and plenty of local instructors to help you get started. Want to explore more? Try Hawaiian canoeing or hike the surrounding cliffs. From the moment you arrive, it’s easy to feel both grounded and inspired.
