About the Neighborhood – Kurogi & Kasahara, Yame Our place is located in Kasahara, a peaceful mountain hamlet within Kurogi Town, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture. This area is famous for producing some of Japan’s finest green tea, known as Yame-cha, and is surrounded by lush mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and scenic terraced rice fields. Kurogi retains the charm of rural Japan — small family-run shops, historic shrines, and friendly neighbors who still greet each passerby.
