Frequently asked questions
Are pets allowed?
Yes — pets are welcome as long as they're clean, don't disturb other residents, and don't damage the house. Extra fees may apply.
Is there a designated space for work?
Yes — we have several spaces great for work. Our dining room is the central communal workspace with large tables and good light, while the living room has quieter corners for focused sessions or relaxed reading. Most private rooms and independent units also include a desk or small work area, and Wi‑Fi is available throughout. If you prefer a quieter or more private spot, we’ll help you find the best place.
What information do I need to supply for the application?
Hi! For the application, please include your full name and pronouns, a short bio (2–3 sentences) about what you do, current projects or a portfolio link (if applicable), why you want to join our community, how you’d contribute (skills, workshops, events), preferred dates and length of stay, any accessibility or dietary needs, and optional references. Example submission: Hi — I’m Alex (they/them). I’m a software developer and DIY electronics artist working on an open-source environmental sensor project. I’d love to host a workshop on basic sensors and help with community dinners. I’m looking to stay from June to August and have no special accessibility needs. Happy to share a reference on request.
Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?
Thanks for asking — sometimes that’s possible. It depends on availability and the day’s schedule. If you’d like to request an earlier arrival or a late departure, please send us a message through the platform with your preferred times and we’ll check availability. Extra fees may apply. We’ll do our best to accommodate and will confirm as soon as we can.
Can I extend or shorten my stay?
Yes — you can usually extend or shorten your stay, but it depends on availability. If you'd like to change your dates, please send a request through your booking on the platform and our team will check the options. Extensions can help you join more activities, and extra fees may apply.
How many people will be living here during my stay?
We usually have around 6–10 residents during a typical stay, a mix of long-term tenants and short-term guests. It’s a friendly, relaxed household—great if you want to meet people while still having your own space.
Is there a house/community manager?
Yes — we have a dedicated house/community manager who supports residents and guests. They’re onsite and you have questions about availability or check-in, feel free to ask here and we’ll help.
What are the nationalities of the other residents?
We have a diverse, international community — residents often come from across Europe, Latin America, Asia, and North America. We welcome all those who share the same values and interest as our coliving community.
What is the average length of stay?
We welcome stays of any length, but most guests stay between one month or longer. We recommend staying for at least a month to enjoy the full range of activities and events. Long-term tenants and people working on extended projects are also welcome — just let us know your expected dates so we can help you settle in.
Are there any good restaurants nearby?
Yes — there are plenty of great restaurants within easy reach. You'll find local warungs serving Balinese dishes, fresh seafood spots, cozy cafés, and a few international restaurants all within a 5–15 minute walk or short bike ride. We’re happy to recommend our favorite places when you arrive!
What public transportation is available?
We offer bicycles and a motorbike (with surf rack) for rent. A car with driver can also be arranged for hire—pricing depends on availability and extra fees may apply (we may ask guests to chip in for gas on group trips). Local ride‑hailing apps are widely available, and Sanur’s shuttle bus is a convenient, more sustainable way to explore.
What is there to do in the area?
We are by Batursari road, a much more local neighborhood in the area of ricefields with jogging tracks where sunset can be enjoyed. There are some groceries, restaurants, cafes, kids playground, laundromat, spa, and karaoke bar all within walking distance.
