Juan Carlos Home I

About this coliving home
Our house is open to encounters between people, dreams, and landscapes. Where light embraces wonder and the days unfold to the rhythm of the sun, amid work, conversation, and birdsong. Our house was born from the desire to reconcile humanity with nature. Here there is no rush, only cycles: dawn, fire, rest, connection, and happiness. Each guest contributes a spark to this ephemeral community. We believe in an economy of the common good, in cooperation, and in authenticity. A place for artists, travelers, and people seeking a more relaxed and enriching pace. The kitchen, the garden, the workshop, the terrace, or the breakfast table are temples of dialogue and mutual care because beauty lies not in things themselves but in the way we see them. It's not just about a shared house but a way of being: an invitation to look slowly, to listen to the clarity, and to let the everyday become sacred again.

Community fit
Our inn's philosophy: more than just a place to live, it's a way of life. At the inn, we share spaces and time. Each guest contributes their energy and perspective. We are guided by respect, cleanliness, and shared harmony. There are no rigid rules, only one intention: that each stay be a warm and enriching experience. At the Inn, we believe that community inspires projects. Many residents collaborate with each other, organize small talks, or share their creative processes. Sometimes friendships are born; other times, something is simply planted that later blossoms. The important thing is to be present, to share, and to let the light do the rest. We seek the clarity born of wonder, the kind that doesn't blind but reveals. The brilliance that rests on objects and gestures, on the gaze that learns to see without haste. Here, calm isn't worshipped: it's inhabited. It's a form of presence, an invitation to be fully present in what is happening. Each stay, each conversation, each shared moment is a page of the same book. We cherish what we have in common, recognizing in the other a reflection of our own calm. Living together isn't routine: it's an act of trust. A way of being in the world with tenderness and purpose.

Neighborhood
TORRALBA DE RIBOTA is a small town where light inspires new ways of living and creating. A place where art, nature, and community intertwine to remind us of the importance of quiet time, of focusing on what is essential. What can you see and discover nearby? We will reveal the hidden hermitages and waterfalls, point out short or long routes, Roman cities, or even rivers with pools… vulture nesting sites, old military forts, disused dams, enchanted forests, or even where to find a picnic table in the sun or a bench that doubles as a shooting gallery. We can also tell you about the old windmills and watermills, the authentic threshing floors, the Monastery of Piedra, the reservoir where we sometimes go swimming as if it were a beach, the magic of Moncayo, the roads without shoulders, the towns full of spas, the imposing Sierra de Armantes and its little castles, the sea of Castilla, and the breathtaking sunsets on the road to Soria.

Frequently asked questions
Will I have privacy?
Of course! All our rooms are private, with their own doors and locks. You'll have your own keys and complete freedom. Our house is so large and full of different spaces that you'll easily find your own quiet corner for peace and quiet. You can even find it in our enormous garden!
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, we don’t allow pets in our house. However, you’ll often see the friendly cats wandering around our garden and the charming streets of the village!
Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?
Absolutely! You can split the rent with your partner or a friend. Just keep in mind that our rooms are double, and the dimensions vary, so be sure to check the profile for details. We’re here to help with any questions!
Is there a designated space for work?
Our house has so many spaces that, depending on the season, the time of day, the light, and your energy level, you'll want to move around until you find the perfect refuge to recharge your batteries and ideas. In the LIVING ROOM, next to our library, you'll have the kitchen close by, plenty of peace and quiet, soft lighting, and a large work table, for example. In the KITCHEN, besides enjoying endless herbal teas, you'll find a central island perfect for those ideas that need a bit more movement. In our fully glazed GALLERY off the kitchen, you can keep an eye on every bird and, at the same time, feel connected to the landscape as you get to work. In the LIVING ROOM or on its balcony, you'll find sofas and low tables, a vintage rocking chair, or a sound system so nothing can stop you from creating. And of course, you could even meditate in the HALLWAYS. And then we have three more spaces brimming with good fortune: In the GARDEN you'll find plenty of chairs, shade, shelters, places to sunbathe, or cooler areas… the delightful option of choosing to work in a beautiful hammock and even round tables. On the upper TERRACE you'll have more views of the landscape than of your notes, though perhaps that's what you need most: a cheerful breeze, restless birds passing by, and the freedom you crave. In our CAVES you can experience ultimate immersion for your mission, zero cell service, blissful solitude, and the purest silence of being underground, fully focused.
What types of people will I be sharing the home with?
Our house has been designed for nomadic workers, artists and creators of all disciplines, but we are open to anyone who wants to come to listen to themselves, live together with respect or embrace our philosophy of being a slower and more peaceful time.
What information do I need to supply for the application?
We'll only need your personal information and a link to something about your profession. We'd also like to know if you've ever stayed in a coliving space before, and if you'd like, tell us about your reasons for wanting to come to our place.
What criteria do you use to evaluate potential renters?
We look for renters who value community and collaboration. We appreciate individuals who are friendly, responsible, and eager to engage with others. Our goal is to create a welcoming home where everyone feels comfortable and inspired.
Is it possible to arrive before the designated move-in time or stay past the move-out time?
Of course. We listen to each request personally and understand that every visitor needs flexibility. There will be no problem with check-in or check-out times being arranged differently than those listed in our policy.
Can I extend or shorten my stay?
Absolutely! You can definitely extend or shorten your stay with us. Just check our availability calendar, and if your room is free for the new dates, submit a new booking request. If your preferred room is booked, we'll help you move to another available room. Just a heads up, each room has different pricing! If you need to shorten your stay, we can accommodate that, but please note that refunds will only apply to the remaining months. We're here to help with any questions!
Do I need to sign a contract/lease?
Exactly! On your first day, you'll need to fill out your own accommodation agreement, a copy of which we'll send to your email address. This agreement outlines our terms and conditions to ensure you have a pleasant stay with us.
Is there a Credit Score required?
At our coliving space, we focus more on the sense of community rather than strict financial evaluations. We value your passion for being part of our shared experience over traditional criteria like credit scores.
Is it permissible to have visitors during the day/night?
Of course! And with pleasure. If your friends or companions would like to learn about our project and participate in it, and respect the rules of shared living, they are welcome! If their stay is not just for a day but they would like to stay overnight with you, they will need to pay the additional costs of their accommodation, based on the daily rate stipulated in your reservation.
Send a request first. You won't be charged yet.
