Community fit
Our community members are a faithful representation of the island of Lanzarote. The island's unique landscape and the strong energy from its volcanic soul represent our community very well. This island is a playground for nature lovers. We love outdoor activities, and we often organize them for our community. And of course, you can surf pretty much every day of the year. We also organize community dinners, meet-ups, etc. In our desire to create strong community services, our famous festival was born. It is an event that connects us and the local community through gastronomy, well-being, Canarian art, and live music. It takes place every other month in La Geria, the spectacular wine region on Lanzarote Island.

Neighborhood
We are located right in the heart of the historic city center of Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote. The area is called El Charco de San Ginés, a historic landmark on the island, representing the union of the ocean with the capital city of Arrecife. Charming local bars and restaurants are nestled around the lagoon, creating a vibrant atmosphere day and night.

Frequently asked questions
Will I have privacy?
Communal spaces are shared in our Coliving, of course, we love sharing! However, these are big enough for you to have your own space. The maximum number of people living in the house at once will be 12. Even though we have enough space in the coliving to accommodate more, we want to keep it this way, so that you all feel there is enough space for us all. Also, all rooms are private.
Can I split the rent with my partner or a friend?
Absolutely! We welcome couples and friends to share accommodations with us. We have three cozy double rooms available for that purpose. Feel free to explore our rooms and find the perfect fit for you both!
Is there a designated space for work?
Sure! You’ll have 24/7 access to our professionally equipped coworking space with stunning views of the lagoon and the sea—it’s a favorite spot for getting in the zone. Plus, every room comes with a private desk setup, perfect for when you need a quieter, more focused space.
What types of people will I be sharing the home with?
You'll be sharing the coliving with a mix of creatives, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and open-minded adventurers from all over the world. Most of our guests are here to focus on meaningful work, connect with others, and enjoy the relaxed island lifestyle. It's a friendly, supportive crowd—people who value both community and personal space.
Is there a house/community manager?
Absolutely! We have a dedicated house & community manager who’s there to support you during your stay, plus Laura—our founder—is regularly around and deeply involved. Together, they help create the warm, welcoming community vibe that makes Pitaya so special.
What is the average length of stay?
The average length of stay is around a month. Many guests come for a few weeks and end up extending—there's just something about the vibe, the people, and the island that makes it hard to leave!
How many people will be living here during my stay?
We have 9 rooms in total, and since three of them are doubles, we host a maximum of 12 people at a time. It’s the perfect size to build a close-knit community—big enough to meet inspiring people, but small enough to really connect
