About this coliving home
Coliving Season: All year round
Welcome to Slow Life - This jungle-side villa has 6 private rooms, 1 shared room, A/C, and was created by former guests. They got inspired after their stay in Madeira with us - and now they’ve created the kind of place they once looked for: calm, comfy, and close to the beach.
We’re not saying it’s impossible to get bored here—but it would take real effort. Here’s what our community tends to get up to (and yes, you’re invited):
🌊 Sunrise surfs & salty wipeouts at the Beach (walking distance). Lessons for the brave, waves for all levels, and zero wetsuits required. 🐢 Swim with turtles (yes, actual sea turtles!) at Turtle Point — just a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride away. Stick around for sunset hatchling releases and major heart-melt. 🧘 Wellness & Workout — yoga at Salty Pelican, ice baths at Ice, massages at Massage Shed, and outdoor jungle gyms where you might lift actual logs. 🐒 Morning monkey-watching missions — followed by jungle walks, secret beaches, and alleyway adventures. 🥥 Fuel up with local rice & curry, vegan cafés, or a fruit bowl that looks better than your last LinkedIn post. 💃 Jungle nightlife that somehow mixes live DJs, fire pits, and barefoot dancing. Secret Jungle Party leads the charge. Laid-back cocktails at Dots Bay House keep things classy. 🛵 Scooter explorations to nearby bays, temples, tea fields, and waterfalls that are not even on Google Maps yet. 🦁 Weekend safaris in Yala or elephant-spotting in Udawalawe if you're feeling wild (literally).
Come for a week. Stay for a season!

Community fit
We are all about community vibes and intentional connections. Typical residents? Think remote workers, creatives, solopreneurs, and curious souls from around the globe who value meaningful experiences over mass tourism. They come with laptops and open minds—ready to work hard, share meals, swap ideas, and dive into new cultures. Whether it’s jamming out a project in the coworking space, joining a spontaneous beach bonfire, or co-hosting a potluck dinner, guests are here to both focus and connect. It’s the kind of place where strangers turn into friends, and your next adventure might just start over coffee.

Neighborhood
Tucked into a horseshoe bay on the island’s southern coast, this is where jungle cliffs meet warm waves, and digital nomads trade city noise for scooter rides and coconut chats. The vibe? Relaxed but buzzing—with a creative, wellness-loving crew who came for a surf trip and accidentally stayed all season. Expect sunshine most of the year, with temps hovering between 26°C and 32°C. December to April is dry, golden, and surf-perfect. May to September brings a mix of tropical rains and lush green magic—less crowded, just as charming. This has roots as a quiet fishing village, but over the years it’s become a magnetic little hub for surfers, yogis, and remote workers chasing a slower, soul-filled lifestyle. You’ll still see traditional stilt fishermen and family-run curry joints tucked between vegan cafés and jungle ice baths. It’s local, it’s global, and it’s got just the right kind of magic.
