The Hancock House The Hancock House is an extension of Bed-Stuy’s beauty, a neighborhood known for its charming architecture and residential streets full of greenery. Community is at the heart of both Bed-Stuy and the Hancock House, between the neighborhood’s festivals and street fairs and the house’s amenities, including a movie room and community lounge. Location The Hancock House is a 5-minute walk to the J train at Halsey Street, and a 10-minute walk from the A, C, and E trains at Ralph Avenue. Both train lines provide access to Manhattan (commute to midtown in under an hour) and various neighborhoods in Brooklyn, including Bushwick and Williamsburg. The Neighborhood Bed-Stuy’s tree-lined blocks are full of brownstones and fabulous dining options. Start your morning with a walk through Saratoga Park, stopping for coffee and a pastry at Early Yves Cafe. For dinner plans, look no further than Trad Room for Japanese food and sake. If the night is still young, the bar Turtles All the Way Down has a fun and unique vibe–and yes, they have real turtles!

Booking rules
- • Your safety and comfort are our top priorities! To ensure this, we ask all our new members to complete a background and credit check, as well as electronically sign a separate residency agreement. Just a heads up, you'll need to share your ID and Social Security Number (for those in the US) with us. We'll shoot over the agreement right after you book, and we kindly ask you to sign it quickly to guarantee your room. For your credit, we're looking for scores above 550
- • 650, depending on your city and we'll need a clean criminal record too (this doesn't apply to DC). If you meet all the requirements, you will receive a rental agreement, which you need to sign within 24 hours of receiving it.
